    Same, interestingly, Burstimo (Alex in this video) did a podcast asking someone in the music industry about doing this approach and they found it doesn't work either, so they have stopped recommending for people to do it. One of the reasons it doesn't work is because Facebook optimizes for video views in the Awareness campaign. There is a difference between "viewers" and "clickers." When you do a cold conversion campaign, you are optimized for clickers. Also, the results in the "hook" audience are so few, there is no way for Facebook to optimize them. It isn't cheaper to do it this way.

    I tried with a video optimised for video views to raise awareness and then another video with a call to action to listen to my music which was shown to people who thruplayed the first video. Maybe the numbers weren't high enough, or maybe a thruplay isn't a strong enough intention, but the conversions to listen to my music were much more expensive than just general or lookalike convertor audiences.

    I have had little success with any retargeting though, even to several thousand convertors, it always ends up many times more expensive than using my lookalike audiences.

    Anyone tried funnel marketing?

    I've been interested in trying funnel marketing on my music (awareness > hook > request). Has anyone gotten any good results with this?

    By the way, Burstimo just released https://www.playlisthunter.com as well, think I'm gonna try it and see what it does.
