  • Welcome and invitation to collab (neo soul, alt pop, rnb)

Hi everyone, thought I'd also throw in a little introduction!

I'm Julia and I am a singer gone producer/marketeer out of necessity. I make soul, rnb and bedroom/alt pop that aspires to become something between BENEE, Miraa May, Hope Tala, Joy Crookes, Jorja Smith, Cleo Sol, Raveena, Kaytranada, Mahalia, Sinead Harnett, Still Woozy and The Marias. If you like the Colors Show - thats the kinda music I want to make!

I only started writing songs and producing last November, so I have a long ways to go. But I'm pushing forward as much as I can, and I have about 7 fully produced and recorded songs ready to go, with more in the making. At the moment, I am preparing my 4th release called "The Flower" (here's a link for anyone who's curious: My previous releases "Make Your Mind Up" and "Non essential" have had very differing results, so I'm curious to see how this one goes.

Andrew's videos have been VERY helpful and make me hopeful that I can continue this path even without connections to the music industry, so big thank you for sharing your knowledge for FREE! But the devil is in the details and I'm still very much in the process of finding a marketing and ads strategy that works.

I thought the people gathered here are all musicians taking their craft seriously and hence most likely fairly good! So if anyone is in need of a singer and interested in collabing, you can check out some live recording on youtube (,, check out my insta (@jukeboxjulia - most active there) or just write me!

Lots of love and happy promoting

    Julia Karr

Hi Julia. Welcome! I just listened to The Flower, great track... it's very well produced. The artwork is great too, it reminds me of Oasis's iconic opening album . Click image for larger version
